UX/UI Hybrid Role but mostly Visual
During August and September 2016 I was brought on board by Zone to work on their key South West Trains project, I worked across a couple other accounts for this award-winning Top 20 Digital Agency including Gatwick Airport and Virgin Business.
The work I did went live early this year for southwesttrains.co.uk. Shorty after the new site went live, I worked on Phase 2 of this large-scale replatforming project, working closely with the Zone SWT team and SWT client. Having solid experience on replatforming projects like this and an understanding of the back-end platform limitations, I worked quickly and effectively with the internal development team and external partners to deliver finished workable visual solutions. Where wireframe holes existed it was necessary to rethink patterns. Working to and improving the overall wireframe set, I helped visualise patterns according to style guides (where possible). I worked on establishing visual designs for the full My Account section, which includes log-in, Registration as well as My Journeys planner and Rail Card sections, producing flats visuals for client sign off and layered files for build, as well as Sketch elements designing up the full user journey responsively across key breakpoints showing all screens and interactions for mobile first.
Gatwick Airport recently updated their site and I was involved in this update, helping to improved UX across the site. Working from a set of wireframes, creating visual designs for Home, Live Flights Arrivals and Departures, Flight Finder as well as showing interactions and visuals across Desktop, Tablet and Mobile.
Sadly I was pinched by Portaltech Reply to work on a huge project for Sony PlayStation whilst just joining Zone, and on which project 8 months later I am still working on! I really enjoyed the work I did while at Zone and had a positive experience over the short time I spent there. Great location and a friendly atmosphere, would love to be involved again if the opportunity presented itself.
