A 3 month project to wireframe and visualise a new e-com platform for the hugely popular Camden Market. Jumping at the chance to work on this exciting UX contract, it gave me the chance to build something unique for an iconic London landmark. The site is a spectacular responsive showcase and I was lucky enough to work the full spectrum of UX on this project.
The challenge was to research and create a one-stop market place for consumers to purchase from the myriad of traders at Camden Market, with the facility for each trader to be able to manage their own online shop through a dashboard. 60 trader storefronts were up and running alongside content listings for everyone else on the market, however in 2016 Camden Market decided not to continue with the shop features. Above the shop platform a ‘content platform’ with content about the market was built showcasing the ‘Camden Experience’ – delivering all the interesting content that tourists and fact-finders would find useful about Camden Market and it’s surrounds.
Based on the most user-centric experience possible through research, I helped UX and visualise the first hybrid shop/content site for Camden Market. Some of my inspiration included award winning builds like Asos, Reebok, Le Coq Sportif, Nixon and others. My objective was to create a user experience that is as clever as it is good looking, creating persona from market research to create the kind of visually exciting site that will engage with users and make their journey as smooth and as enjoyable as possible.
