Working on a new banking site for Vanquis Bank as well as working on the current App. Prototyping high fidelity IOS, Android and Web user journeys using Sketch and Marvel across mobile, tablet and desktop. Workshopping UX methodology and process across features as well as validating hypothesis with user testing sessions every week. Understanding user needs and where possible turning these into requirements which also align with business needs.
Results of our work so far on the App are starting to pay off, particularly in building in user testing feedback and identifying areas of the App that required urgent fixing, particularly around accessibility and general user experience. Within the 4 months of joining the project as UX Designer and helping facilitate weekly user testing sessions, we have seen the user-rating increase from a lowly 2 stars (out of 5) in July to an average user-rating now of 4,8 – placing the App amongst the Top 20 Banking Apps (Dec 2017).
